A continued focus on the power of our words. As David says, “This series gets my motor going, with the reality of how we’re made in the image of God and have the same creative ability.” Recognizing the reality of our words have creative ability should put us into a place of serious reflection. It should also motivate us to be more careful and deliberate with our thoughts and words. David pulls from the words of Jesus, “Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” With this in mind is a brief exhortation of the importance of guarding our hearts against outside influences. Television programs are exactly what the name implies, programming. Jesus went on to say, “We will be held accountable for every idle/careless word, and by our words, we’ll be either justified or condemned. The main takeaway with this is the significance Jesus puts on our words. An interesting segment in teaching is the meaning of the word idle/careless and how it is a word related to employment. The bottom line, we need to put our words to work for good and not for bad. Another segment of the teaching is on how we often curse ourselves with the words we speak like, it’s flu season or things never seem to work out well for me. This leads David to how James talks about the tongue, which is so small but so powerful. An exciting ending with David sharing about his experience on the aircraft carrier Intrepid. An incredibly big ship that had a crew of 3,300, a landing strip, and housed 106 aircraft. As big as the ship was (900 feet long, three football fields), it was steered by a small eight-inch wheel. An excellent illustration of how such a large ship, literally a floating city, and an airport that traveled at 38 mph and was directed by a small wheel and small rudder You’ll enjoy and greatly benefit from this teaching on the power of the tongue, which is a crucial element in harnessing and walking in the creative miracle power of God.

Our vision is to see over 100 million souls saved, discipled and serving God
