The power of forgiveness

Shortly after we were born the evil in this world started to impact us. Rejection, condemnation, forgiveness, abuse, betrayal… the list is almost endless.
This happens to all humans… how we handle and process this will determine our health, our relationships, peace, joy, and other attributes we can acquire.
As our life goes forward a lot of these negatives keep piling up if we never learned how to process them. This happen to me even though I was serving the Lord I had a lot of unforgiveness and it was taking a toll on my health, marriage, finances,     and other relationships, etc..
When I finally learned the power of forgiveness it radically changed my life. At this time I wrote the prayer most of you have.
Forgiveness restored my marriage and many other relationships. My anger toward Father God left me as truth was revealed to me. Peace entered my life… no more prescription drugs to sleep and a host of other problems just disappeared.
Forgiveness is not for the offender… it is for us who have been offended. We have no control over bad people, but we do have control over our decision to forgive.
It may be the most difficult thing do because of the nature of the offenses against us.
One of the truths I learned was when we sin we give demons the legal right to attack us. Unforgiveness is a sin.
Jesus made it clear that if we do not forgive we are not forgiven. When I came back to the Lord in 1978 I had a lot unforgiveness and I did not like the following scriptures. Please read them!!!!
Matt 6:14,15   Mk 11:22-26   Matt 18:21-35… especially vs :35. I used to hate this verse because I did not want to forgive certain people, but at the same time I did not want the consequence of not forgiving… Eph 4:32 and Col 3:13.
One of the hard lessons I learned during this time. If you do not forgive it is hard to love; worse yet we become unloving ( take on a unloving spirit ) because of the demons that we have given legal right to our lives.
We want to love and be loved but in my case it just was not working and when that happens we can become lonely even though we do not want to be like that, because people do not want to be around us.
Repentance can lead to holiness because our sins will be forgiven. Pray the pray daily… ask Father of anyone we need to forgive and forgive them.
Forgiveness is a legal act when we confess our forgiveness out loud. Our emotions will take some time to caught up with that legal act. Just because you still have emotions concerning this does not mean you have not forgiven… emotions are not right or wrong they are just emotions. Do not allow the enemy to lie to you that you have not forgiven because of the attending emotions.
Another step which may be even more difficult is found in Matt 5:43-48. The Father had me pray blessing on those that had offended me. This was one of the most difficult things I had ever done. It took a while because I did not want them blessed, but I persisted over time and it became easier and eventually Father showed me the pain and rejection those peoples had, to have done what they did to me. When Father showed me that I went from anger and hatred to a broken heart knowing the pain in there life.
If you are one of those like I was you do not have to live in this place any more… is it easy? NO!!!
May be the hardest thing you will ever do… that is why Jesus said in Matt 7:13,14.
” Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it.
BUT, small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life. AND ONLY A FEW FIND IT.
What I have shared is the small gate, the narrow road… I put it off for many years all the while working for the Lord as a servant. It caused many years of unnecessary pain not only for me but those around me.
It was only after walking through the process of forgiveness that I really felt like a Son and not a servant. Now daily Father and I commune.
The word says. Rom 12:19   &   Heb 10:30,31     Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord…
As I have forgiven people I have seen the sowing and reaping principle activated in their lives.
