I saw rain falling – not just physical rain – golden rain drops, spiritual rain. When this rain landed on the earth, everything stood up quickly and became lush and full of its fruit. Trees got taller and larger. As this rain fell on people, they would fall on their knees and down on their faces in conversation with the Lord of Lords. Some would rise up with worship and gratefulness. They would sing and dance and twirl before their King. I turned to look at those who didn’t get back up. They were like stone, not moving a muscle. Some covered their head in terror, crying without a sound. It was a strange sight. The Lord walked up to me as I pondered what a strange reaction to the wonderful mercy rain from our King of Kings. I didn’t even have to ask, Jesus could hear my thoughts. He responded,
“I have continually poured out My mercy on your land. My mercies are new every morning and they fall on whoever will receive them. However, on those who don’t know Me, they feel the fear of the Lord. They have never humbled themselves and so I need to humble them. I have to show them I AM a merciful and just God. They condemn themselves. Many never repent, but those that do, the fear of the Lord opens them up to receive My mercy rain. Now they can be washed white as snow.”
