I saw a few men playing basketball on a court at a school. The ball was red in color, which I thought was strange. Who are these men was a question that went through my mind. They were not being very nice to each other. It was a very competitive game. No one was in the in the bleachers, nor was there a referee. Then I saw the Lord sitting off to the side and I went and sat next to Him. “What do I need to see here?”, I asked.
“These men are all leaders of My people. See how they treat each other? This is supposed to be for their enjoyment and a little exercise. They can’t get together without competing. This same spirit has attacked many in the churches today. There is a time for competition when you are hired to be on a team. Then its your job to be the best you can. I want My people to be servants to all who they come in contact with.”
“What about the red ball?”, I asked.
“That’s the saddest of all,” he continued. “They think My Word is to be used to control others. They pull scriptures out of context. They build their own kingdoms on twisting what I mean. This is why judgment comes on My house first. I will build up but I will also tear down what is not built on My Truth. Stay alert. The enemy is roaming about seeking whom he many devour. Follow that inward witness. If you have no peace, turn away from the way you are going. I will always lead you by peace in your heart. I love you. You are not orphans but My Beloved.”
