11-05-19 Basis of Great Faith Part 5

Of the many visions God has given David over the last 40 years, this one is off the chart with revelation on the authority you have as a believer. The essence of the vision and related teaching is the reality of authority and power given to us. In the vision, a young mother being tormented with phone calls threatening her family. A life of fun, peace, and joy stole by a lie from a prankster. The analogy is rather obvious but so colorful in the vision showing us how the devil’s lies are nothing more than empty threats. When the mothers eyes opened to the truth (as ours should be from the truth of God’s Word), her fear turned into anger (righteous indignation), and she turned the tables on the prankster with her threats of a lawsuit and demands for payment for the loss of resources, peace, and joy. The Bible says, “When you catch a thief demand sevenfold in return.” Proverbs 6:31 When our eyes are opened like hers to the reality that the devil is nothing compared to the authority we have as believers, we too will stop his threats and harassment and demand repayment for all that was lost.
